Telescopic Wheelchair Ramps

May 19th, 2010

Wheelchair ramps are essential in both public and private buildings, not only do they help individuals to access all parts of a property easily but they also enable wheelchair users to be completely autonomous when out and about. Whilst many shops, restaurants, hotels and other commercial properties have ramps in place throughout their premises, some wheelchair users prefer to carry their own just in case. At K5, we specialise in light-weight, portable wheelchair ramps that are really easy to fold away and take wherever they are needed.

Amongst our range of portable ramps are telescopic wheelchair ramps, these products act in the way that the name suggests by sliding open to become longer, allowing them to be utilised in a range of situations. Our telescopic ramps are both durable and light-weight, this means that they can be carried around easily and they are strong enough to withstand large quantities of weight and pressure.

We appreciate that all wheelchairs vary and as such, the ramps must be fit for purpose. Our portable ramps are broken down into two main categories; AeroLight Ramps and PerfoLight Ramps.

Our AeroLight ramps are designed to be used with both manual and electric wheelchairs. They combine an unbeatable weight to strength ratio and can be de-constructed into a briefcase size package.

PerfoLight ramps are available in telescopic and rigid varieties. They are produced using the innovative material anodised aluminium, which means that they are also extremely strong and lightweight.

All of the wheelchair ramps discussed above can be browsed by visiting our website, each product includes an image of the ramp whilst it is being used plus, full specifications and benefits. If you are not sure which ramp would be most suitable for your requirements, please feel free to contact us by calling our head office or fill out our contact form.
