Stair Lift vs. Wheelchair Lift vs. Lift Chairs
People who find themselves with limited mobility will need to purchase a variety of pieces of equipment that help to make their lives easier. It helps if you know what it is that you are buying. There are three pieces of equipment that people commonly get confused with one another:
- Stair Lifts. A stair lift is a chair which attaches to the bannister or your stairway. You sit in it and ride it up and down the stairs. This is for people who have trouble getting up and down stairs.
- Wheelchair Lifts. The wheelchair lift is a piece of equipment which is attached to your vehicle. It is designed for people who are in wheelchairs so that they can attach the chair to the vehicle and use the car.
- Lift Chairs. A lift chair is an item which reclines to various degrees. It makes it more comfortable for people to sit in the chair and makes it easier for them to get up and down out of the chair if mobility in doing so is limited.
These are three different products which are similar enough that people sometimes get confused about what the difference is. Now you know!
