K5 – Ensuring Your Whole Premises is Disability Friendly and 100% Accessible

February 18th, 2013

If someone were to ask if your business premises was completely disability friendly would you confidently be able to answer ‘yes’ to that question? You may think your property is fairly accessible to all and you may be confident you would be able to evacuate everyone in the case of an emergency but what about the exterior of your premises?

How easy is it for people with disability restrictions to enter your business? And don’t forget about parking. Here at K5, as well as supplying and installing quality evacuation chairs and stair climbers we also sell a variety of products to help ensure your business is 100% accessible to all your customers or residents.

Wheelchair Ramps

Installing wheelchair ramps into your business can provide access to all parts of your building that may currently be unavailable to scooters and wheelchair users. Our wheelchair ramps are specifically made to be very lightweight whilst at the same time being incredibly strong and durable.

Many of our ramps are really simple to use, folding away to a briefcase size making them easy to manoeuvre.

Handipark Barriers

Disabled spaces are unfortunately often abused by car drivers causing resentment and anger for everyone involved. But our Handipark barriers can alleviate this problem as they can only be used by genuine disabled drivers.

Handipark barriers are mini parking barriers that are installed directly into the parking space. When a disabled driver wishes to park there they simply have to press a button on a hand held remote control device and the barrier will lower allowing them to park in the space.

These barriers mean you can guarantee your disabled customers a space every time.

Be sure to browse our website to see the full range of products and services we have on offer. If you would like any more information or advice on how to ensure your premises is 100% accessible for all then get in touch with us today on 01234 354 539.
